The Offices under the Office of Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademarks (CGPDTM), India have registered an upward trend in filing of intellectual property applications. Consequently, the Office has received a total of 1,94,216 applications from industries for registering their trademarks in the last fiscal and it is growing at 12% annually.
The Indian Intellectual Property Office also received over 45,000 applications for patents and 25,000 applications for geographical indications.
